The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BSTV News, Ayodeji Oladipupo Emmanuel Adebayo, popularly known as Comrade DJB and fondly referred to as “Mr. Atypical,” has been named a recipient of the prestigious Ikale United Front (IUF) Achievement Award.
The honour will be formally conferred during the 2026 UNESCO World Poetry Day celebration organized by the Ikale United Front (IUF), scheduled to hold on February 21, 2026, in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
According to the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Lasisi Akindehinde, the nomination of Comrade Adebayo received overwhelming approval in recognition of his innovative accomplishments, exceptional versatility, and unwavering commitment to humanitarian service.
A New Generation Leader
Comrade Adebayo represents a new generation of Nigerian leaders whose influence spans technology, education, media, politics, and grassroots development. Born in Ikeja, Lagos, and raised in Ojodu, he maintains deep ancestral roots in Ilogbo Ekiti, Ekiti State. From an early age, he demonstrated a strong sense of leadership, purpose, and a passion for service.
His academic journey reflects diligence and ambition. After completing his early education in Lagos and Ogun States, he proceeded to Tai Solarin University of Education, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. He later obtained a Master’s degree in Physical and Health Education from Obafemi Awolowo University and is currently pursuing doctoral studies.
Before fully venturing into entrepreneurship and media, he built a solid career in academia, serving at different times as a teacher, school administrator, adjunct lecturer, and university lecturer.
Technology, Media, and Enterprise
Beyond education, Comrade DJB has carved an impressive professional path marked by innovation and enterprise. As Chief Executive Officer of Inovics Digital Technologies, he has provided ICT solutions, digital strategy, branding, and business development services to institutions and organizations across sectors.
His expertise as a full-stack developer, digital strategist, and media consultant has earned him recognition in both private and public spheres. He has worked as a television programme anchor, youth ambassador, public affairs analyst, and communications strategist.
As Founder of BSTV News, he has contributed to shaping community-focused media engagement, promoting grassroots narratives and public accountability.
Public Service and Community Leadership
Comrade Adebayo’s leadership footprint extends deeply into public service and grassroots development. His activism dates back to his university days in student unionism. During his National Youth Service, he served as Corps Liaison Officer and participated actively in national development initiatives.
He notably served as Pioneer Chief Press Secretary to Ojodu LCDA in Lagos State and currently functions as Senior Special Assistant on Media to the council, playing strategic roles in governance communication.
At the grassroots level, he has distinguished himself as one of the youngest community leaders in his locality, serving as the First Chairman of Ajumose Community Development Association (Yakoyo Town, Lagos) and a distinguished executive member of the Ojodu Community Development Council exemplifing his love for community service and youthful engagements. In 2018, DJB led the initiative to establish an emergency volunteers team of Red Crossers and led the university detachment of the Nigerian Red Cross Society at the Premier University of Education in Nigeria - Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (Then TASUED) as Piooneer President and Commandant.
In that same institution of higher learning, Comrade DJB served at all levels/strata of student's unionism and youth engagements in his university days, that he rose to become the Executive Finacial Secretary of the Reformation 2010/11 Era of TASUED Students Union Government body and that catapulted him to participate in numerous student's activities, locally and internationally including the school's exchange complimentary visit to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Ghana in May 2010. Do take note that UEW is the first university of education in Africa while TASFUED is the second in Africa and 8th in the world.
In addition, he contributed to the National Human Capital Development Stakeholders Programme under the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria, representing Lagos West and has served humamity in numerous capacities across multiple voluntary organisations (NGOs, CBOs) inn every State of Southwest Nigeria.

Widely respected for his communication acumen, political insight, and mobilization capacity, associates describe him as humble, accessible, and deeply committed to uplifting others. His alias, “Mr. Atypical,” reflects his reputation for exceeding expectations and breaking conventional limits in pursuit of meaningful impact.
A devoted family man, he is happily married and blessed with children. His philosophy is rooted in integrity, empathy, and the conviction that service to humanity remains the highest expression of leadership.
