President Decorates Acting IGP Tunji Disu as Egbetokun Resigns

President Tinubu Decorates Acting IGP Tunji Disu at State House today.


Abuja, Nigeria — The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has officially decorated Tunji Disu as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), following the resignation of the former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.

The decoration ceremony, which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marked a significant transition in the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force. The event was attended by top government officials, senior security chiefs, and members of the police high command.

In his remarks, President Tinubu commended the outgoing IGP, Egbetokun, for his service to the nation and his contributions toward strengthening internal security and police reforms during his tenure. He wished him well in his future endeavours.
