The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday received DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Rtd), Chairman of the Committee on All Police Matters and Commissioner Representing the South-West at the Police Service Commission, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
The delegation also included AIG Omolara Oloruntola, Commandant of the Police College Ikeja, and Hon. Abdulwasiu Kayode Bawa-Allah.

Speaking during the visit, DIG Lakanu explained that his presence in Lagos was in line with his oversight responsibilities regarding the ongoing police recruitment screening exercise in the state. He commended the leadership of the Command, led by CP Olohundare Jimoh, for its proactive measures in maintaining security and safeguarding lives and property across Lagos.
He further urged members of the screening committee to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism, emphasizing the need for fairness and transparency throughout the recruitment process.

In response, CP Jimoh expressed appreciation for the visit and the commendation, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to supporting the Police Service Commission in delivering a credible and seamless recruitment exercise.
