The Ondo South Senatorial District wing of the Ondo For Tinubu convened a highly anticipated leaders'/stakeholders’ meeting on December 2, 2025, at the Government Field of Odigbo local government, Ore, Ondo State. The gathering, organized at the instance of the Executive Governor of Ondo state, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, brought together community leaders, government officials, and grassroots supporters to deliberate on strategies for mobilizing citizens ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ondo For Tinubu, a committed volunteer organisation championing President Tinubu’s bid for a second term, OFT, a conglomerate of prominent Ondo South citizens, with the executive Governor, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the topmost head, engaged participants in robust discussions aimed at strengthening civic awareness and fostering community-level sensitization. The coming together emphasized the importance of educating citizens on the administration’s achievements and future policy plans, creating a platform for informed voter participation.
In his address, the agreed chief host of the event, Professor Simidele Odimayo, the Special Adviser on Health to the Governor of Ondo State, lauded the Tinubu administration for its exceptional performance in public welfare, health initiatives, infrastructural development among others too numerous to mention.
Professor Odimayo asserted that the government’s efforts have positively impacted citizens’ lives, making a compelling case for continued public support beyond 2027.
In his message, the Executive Governor of Ondo state, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa ably represented by the deputy speaker of the state House of assembly, RT. Hon Ololade Gbegudu said Ondo state is in for real progressive experience, reiterated his commitment to developmental strides, rural development, human capacity building, inclusive governance and party sustainability.
"We are committed to our campaign promises, assuring you that the "OUR EASE" mantra is not just a slogan but a call to duty, delivering progress as promised, making sure that all sectors and spheres of the citizens livelihood are impacted positively without special consideration to tribe and ethnic."
His Excellency avail the gathering to highlight some of the major strides and achievements of his administration. Core among the highlight includes employment of over two thousand (2000) teachers for both primary and secondary schools across the state, the revitalisation of about 102 primary health centres, installation of solar-powered eye clinic in Okitipupa, resuscitation of the State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa, construction of Ajagba-Iju-Osun road, construction of Akotogbo-Iyansan road, employment of healthcare workers, construction of walkways in Ilaje, dualization of Okitipupa-Igbokoda road, distribution of befitting utility vehicles to our royal father's among others.
The event attracted a distinguished lineup of dignitaries. The Governor of Ondo State was represented by the Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ololade Gbegudu. Other key figures included Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka; Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Tob Loko; Commissioner for Education, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun; Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Amidu Takuro; Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Okitipupa 1, Hon. Chris Ayebusiwa; Member, Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Ese Odo, Hon Toyin Allen, Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa; Chairman of Irele Local Government, Hon. Jide Akinfe; and former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Dr. Mrs. Morenike Alaka, among others.
Beyond discussions and presentations, the meeting featured a variety of community-focused activities designed to foster engagement and solidarity. Participants enjoyed medical outreach programs, vibrant cultural performances celebrating the region’s heritage, and informal tete-a-tete sessions, providing an opportunity for citizens to interact directly with policymakers and community leaders.
The stakeholders’ meeting underscored a strategic effort by Ondo For Tinubu to strengthen grassroots support, cultivate civic consciousness, and ensure active participation in the democratic process as the 2027 elections approach.
