IGP EGBETOKUN APPOINTS DSP OLUSEYI BABASEYI AS NEW OGUN STATE POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi as the new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Ogun State Police Command.
DSP Babaseyi takes over from CSP Omolola Odutola, who previously served as the Command’s Spokesperson.
A legally trained officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi holds an LL.B in Law from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, as well as a Diploma in Law from Osun State University.
Throughout his career, he has served in multiple operational, investigative, and administrative capacities across various divisions and specialized units within the Nigeria Police Force.
DSP Babaseyi is particularly experienced in police administration and strategic communication. He previously served as the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command and as Secretary to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State — positions that placed him at the heart of command administration and high-level operational coordination.
Until his appointment as the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi distinguished himself in media relations, information management, and strategic communication, earning recognition for his professional conduct and dedication to duty.
