AJUMOSE CDA LEADS BY EXAMPLE AS IT MARKS ONE-WEEK OF INAUGURATION WITH FREE HEALTH INSURANCE PACKAGE FOR COMMUNITY BENEFICIARIES

In a remarkable display of community-driven leadership, the newly inaugurated executives of the Ajumose Community Development Association (CDA) comprising Ashafa Street, Oyewole Close, Unity Close, Part of Yakoyo Road and part of Adebowale Street all within Ojodu LCDA, Ikeja LGA, Lagos; ably led by Comrade 'Deji Adebayo (DJB), have recorded a significant milestone in just one week after assuming office.
The CDA administration organized a 100% Free Health Insurance Coverage Program, successfully enrolling over 50 beneficiaries from across the Yakoyo community into the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) under the state-backed Ilera-Eko scheme. The initiative—designed by the Lagos State Government to support the poor and vulnerable residents—was facilitated at the community level by the new CDA executives, marking a notable achievement within their first seven days in office.

Speaking on the development, Ajumose CDA Chairman, Comrade Deji Adebayo described the feat as a “small but motivating accomplishment, it is a way of saying thank you to our community and political leaders who have exemplified such kind gestures across Ojodu LCDA”; reaffirming his commitment to sustaining impactful programs. He expressed confidence that, by God's grace, Ajumose CDA is on track to compete for the Lagos State Governor’s Award for Performing Communities by 2026, coinciding with the final Community Day celebration to be organized by the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
He further encouraged all residents above 18 years to not just register to become a duly recognised CDA member, but to ensure they are registered as a voter in the ongoing INEC registration ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that more community-centered opportunities are set to roll out at regular intervals and these criteria will be required for beneficiaries to participate.
In a show of solidarity, the Chairman of the Ojodu CDC, Pastor Segun Fayemi who was in attendance, applauded the swift and impressive strides of the newly inaugurated Ajumose CDA leadership notably citing the people-centric and community-focused leadership style of the newly sworn-in Ajumose CDA chairman, Comrade Ayodeji Adebayo. In his remark, he expressed delight at their early achievements and pledged full support for all future initiatives from the CDA.
