OJODU LCDA CHAIRMAN LAUNCHES FREE FUEL VOUCHER EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME FOR TRANSPORT OPERATORS AS PART OF ACTIVITIES MARKING HIS 100 DAYS IN OFFICE

As part of the activities marking his second-term 100 Days in Office, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has officially unveiled a Free Fuel Voucher Empowerment Programme targeted at easing operational burdens on local transport operators and reducing the cost of transportation within the LCDA.
In a demonstration of hands-on leadership and community engagement, Hon. Odunmbaku personally led the distribution exercise today, visiting designated filling stations across the council area where he interacted directly with Keke Marwa, Korope and bus operators benefiting from the initiative.
The empowerment package includes:
* ₦10,000 worth of fuel for 100 Keke Marwa (tricycle) operators
* ₦20,000 worth of fuel each for 50 Korope operators
* ₦20,000 worth of fuel for commercial bus operators
The vouchers were redeemed seamlessly at Eterna Oil Station, Sunbeth Fuel Station, Bovas Fuel Station, and NNPC Station Omole Station, all situated within Ojodu LCDA.
Addressing newsmen during the exercise, Hon. Odunmbaku stated that the programme is a direct reflection of the welfare-centered philosophy of his HEYS RELOADED Agenda, aimed at promoting affordable transportation, boosting small-scale economic activities, and strengthening grassroots socioeconomic stability.

He emphasized that transport operators remain crucial to the daily movement and economic productivity of residents, adding that the council is committed to supporting their operations as part of its broader strategy to improve living standards.
Transport operators expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely support amid rising operational costs.
The Fuel Voucher Empowerment Programme forms a major highlight of the Chairman’s 100-day achievements, reinforcing the administration’s pledge to deliver people-focused, impactful, and sustainable governance in Ojodu LCDA.
