OJODU LCDA: PRINCIPAL OFFICE HOLDERS OF THE LEGISLATIVE HOUSE RESHUFFLED

In a unanimous decision reached by members of the legislative arm of Ojodu LCDA in Ikeja Local Government Area of Lagos State, the lawmakers statutory sitting which held today 27th January 2022 at the temporary legislative chamber had principal officers of the 'house' reconstituted. This invariably is in total pursuit of oneness and for all to be in one accord having a peaceful assembly that will orchestrate collective moves, pass laws and orders towards uplifting the Local Council to greater heights.
A consensus arrangement which was reached at the Legislative Chamber on Thursday 27th January by all six legislators who were present at the sitting was considered a welcome development by party leaders who applauded the maturity put to fore by the lawmakers.

While reacting to the reshuffling process, Leader of the House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira who represents Ward A at the lofty chambers debunked the rumour in some quarters by some political jobbers that there exists rancor or disagreement among members of the Ojodu LCDA Legislative house. He further stated that the decision to have a reshuffling was a unanimous decision and the smooth process of conducting the exercise establishes the fact as it is.

“The unanimous decision to reconstitute and restructure was to further give room for oneness, collectiveness as we chart our way to move our beloved LCDA forward”, Apatira avows.
At the end of the statutory sitting which had the cabinet reshuffled, the following legislative reconstitution took place to form a new structure in Ojodu LCDA legislative arm:
Hon. Opeyemi Apatira - Leader of the House (Ward A Councillor)
Hon. Gbenga Opebi - Deputy Leader (Ward C Councillor)
Hon. Bolarinwa Lawal - Majority Leader (Ward D Councillor)
Hon. Kazeem Iyanda - Deputy Majority Leader (Ward B Councillor)
Hon. Olumide Akinade - Chief Whip (Ward F Councillor)
Hon. Lekan Peters - Deputy Chief Whip (Ward E Councillor).

When the 5th legislative arm of Ojodu LCDA was inaugurated early into the administration of Mr Segun Odunmbaku as the Council mayor, the formation of principal officers in the House - in order of authority - was as listed below:
Hon. Opeyemi Apatira - Leader of the House (Ward A Councillor)
Hon. Lekan Peters - Deputy Leader (Ward E Councillor).
Hon. Bolarinwa Lawal - Majority Leader (Ward D Councillor)
Hon. Gbenga Opebi - Chief Whip (Ward C Councillor)
Hon. Kazeem Iyanda - Member (Ward B Councillor)
Hon. Olumide Akinade - Member (Ward F Councillor)

By this latest development, Hon. Lekan Peters no longer seats in the office of the Deputy Leader as he is being replaced by Hon. Gbenga Opebi while Hon. Olumide Akinade and Hon. Kazeem Iyanda gets a principal office.
