GOVERNMENT DISCLAIMS ASCENDANCY OF NEW KING IN IKEJA LAND

In a wide spread social media release that recently went viral as related to the choice of one Tajudeen Muritala of the Osooja Royal Family in Ikeja Kingdom as the purported newly chosen king of the ancient fishermen homestead now turned the capital city of the commercial nerve centre and former administrative capital of Nigeria cum emerging African Metropolitan city, Lagos State.

The first-class ruler stool which has remained vacant for the past seven (7) years due to disagreements in who to become the next king among the ruling houses has now caused more deepened imbroglio than before and is said to have caught the attention of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In a release by the Ikeja Local Government Coucil Chairman, Engr (Dr) Mojeed Balogun as made available to the public and now going viral on social media by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Opeyemi Aanuoluwa, a public disclaimer stating the none involvement of the Local Government in any Chieftaincy proceedings as statutorily required by law debunks the rumour in circulation across the nation.

The Guradian News Online is cited stating that: "At a press conference, they renounced Tajudeen Muritala, for allegedly parading himself on the social media as the newly elected King of Ikeja land, saying he is alien in Ikeja kingdom".

The Nationwide news outfit on her online page further stated that "The Head of Osuoja Ruling House, Chief Issa Salami Akinlabi, who briefed the press, urged Sanwo-Olu to urgently wade into this issue as a matter of utmost urgency, as well as clear and appoint Prince Adeleye as the Olu of Ikeja".
