In scenes of excitement and community pride, activities marking the 100 days in office for the second term of Hon Segun Odunmbaku concurrent administration came to its peak with the DOS Mega Football Cup Final that held at Oluwole Estate Field. It ended this evening with Ward B emerging victorious after a pulsating penalty shootout against Ward A. The day — full of colour, competition and community spirit — drew large crowds from across the entire Ojodu LCDA and beyond and match ended on a high note for grassroots football.


The festivities began with a novelty match between Eminent Politicians (representing Ojodu LCDA APC) and Ojodu LCDA NULGE — a game that ended 3–2 in favour of the Politicians. The highlight came when Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, scored the decisive goal — much to the delight of the crowd. That early victory set an energetic tone for the grand finale that followed.

The final match between Ward A and Ward B delivered everything fans hoped for: speed, skill, and nerves of steel. Ward B surged ahead early, but Ward A fought back hard — forcing a 2–2 draw at full time. The atmosphere inside the ground was electric, as supporters from both sides waited anxiously for the outcome.


With tensions running high, the match went to a penalty shootout — and it was here Ward B showed composure under pressure. They held their nerve and sealed the championship, sending fans into joyous celebrations. For many, it was a well-deserved win after a fiercely contested match.

After the match, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku presented Ward B with the championship trophy and a ₦500,000 cash prize. Ward A, though runners-up, were not forgotten — they received ₦250,000, along with applause for their resilience and sportsmanship. The Chairman praised all participants, describing the tournament as a “celebration of community spirit, youth talent and unity” in Ojodu LCDA.
