Senate President Announces Other Principal Officials of the 10th Assembly in the Red Chamber

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday, named the principal officers for the 10th Senate upon the resumption of plenary. In the plenary, Akpabio had named Senator Opeyemi Bamidele (APC, Ekiti Central) as the 10th Senate Majority Leader, Senator Dave Umahi ( APC, Ebonyi South) as Deputy Majority Leader; Senator Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South) as Chief Whip, and Senator Lola Ashiru (APC, Kwara South) as the Deputy Whip.
He also named from the opposition parties Senator Mwadkwon Davou (PDP, Plateau North) as Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Olarere (PDP, Osun West) emerged as the Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Darlington Nwokeocha (LP Abia Central) was named Minority Whip, while Senator Rufai Hanga (NNPP, Kano Central) was named the Deputy Minority Whip.
