URGES SUPPORT FOR ASIWAJU/SHETTIMA & SANWO-OLU 2023: DISTINGUISHED LADIES IN POLITICS GROUP HOLDS HER INAUGURAL SYMPOSIUM AND AWARD CEREMONY

One of the topmost socio-political activities reported in the main media and social media this week is the symposium organized by the Distinguished Ladies in Politics (D-LIPs) group which is a socio-political group led by its President, Princess Bello Balqis.

The eye-opening encounter was well attended by notable personalities across Lagos State including the esteemed Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Mudashir Obasa who was ably represented at the event as held on Wednesday 21st September 2023.

Also in attendance were other notable dignitaries such as The Chairman of Lagos State Parks Management Committee and APC Apex Leader in Oshodi/Isolo LGA, Mr Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, Hon. Babatunde Tella the Director of Administration (Designate), Lagos State Government Landed Properties Special Operations (Enforcement), he is also the Director of Mobilisation, TSO Lagos State Chapter and Board Member, Lagos State Weight Lifting Board. These and many more political emissaries who graced the timely program organized for young female politicians in Nigeria added glitz and glamour to the event held at Ikeja Local Government secretariat.

One of such societal movers that sent their emissaries to witness the worthy event were Senator Remi Tinubu, Mr Tayo Ayinde - Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, the APC State Woman Leader among other top placed personalities who were there in proxy to engage the mammoth crowd that filled the event venue to the brim. Ample time was taken to specially appreciate enablers of the visionary movement including the ranking GAC member, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku (Baba Eto), Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde (Buffalo) and his right hand man, Hon. Akin Ibesanmi who is the Lagos State Coordinator and Coordinator General of Tinubu Support Organization, Chief Muyiwa Julius Oloro (Balogun General of Ojodu Land), Hon. Mojeed Balogun - Executive Chairman of Ikeja LGA and other award recipients at the august occasion.
The memorable event went hitch-free with an unprecedented success rate as it was colored with pomp and splendor by top-notch activities such as the glamorous introduction of D-lips group to the world by the President, Balqis Bello, who in her opening remark was superlative and appreciative. More so, keynote speakers that engaged the audience left no stone unturned in dealing with the topic discussed as they and other panelist reeled-out thought provoking speeches to disrupt the status-quo in connection to the topic of the Symposium; "The Roles and Contributions of Young Women in Politics in an Egalitarian Nigerian Society".
Members of the state-wide organization has promised to campaign profusely for the emergence of His Excellencies Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kashim Shetimma, Rt. Hon Gbajabiamila, Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, Rt. Hon Mudashir Obasa and all the APC candidates at the next election by focusing her mobilization strenght on continous recruitment of members at the Polling Units level across the 57 Local Councils of Lagos State and by extension Nigeria.
Media houses such as TVC, LTV8, Orisun TV, BSTV and Ojodu News were also at the symposium to cover it and give it quality reportage cum wider publicity.
