H.E.Y.S AGENDA: DAVID ODUNMBAKU REITERATES COMMITMENT TOWARDS A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT IN OJODU COMMUNITIES, WARNS DEFAULTERS TO BEWARE

As many Ojodu citizens awaits enjoyment of the dividends of democracy through the goodies and largess to be reeled out by the APC led administration in Ojodu LCDA, the council chairman has in turn charged citizens to play their part in ensuring the accomplishment of the set goals of his administration.


In a bid to fulfil his campaign promises to Ojodu constituents, the Ojodu council chairman has further reinstated his absolute determination towards ensuring the healthy living condition of citizens. As celebration of his hundred days in office beckons, the administration of the innovative council boss is obviously making moves to pull out all the stops towards accomplishing set goals as guided by its H.E.Y.S agenda.

In a statement emanating from the Public affairs Office of Ojodu LCDA, it further reiterate the commitment of the council chairman, Mr David Odunmbaku towards ensuring healthy and sound living conditions of citizens by making sure that the environment of communities within the local council is clean and in good condition for the betterment of all residence. This was made known based on the recent pragmatic step taken by officials of the council as directed by the council mayor to ensure proper desilting of drainages and clearing of refuses disposed at various spots within the communities in the LCDA.


The statement credited to the Information unit headed by Alhaja Bukola Bankole reads in parts as follows;

"Hon. Odunmbaku prioritizes the well being of his people and the preservation of the ecological system, thus he has made it a point of duty to ensure that all refuse are cleared and drainages desilted as and when due" she said.

The released information claimed that the Council boss has charged Ojodu citizens to shun illegal dumping of refuse which has a lot of attendant adverse effect on all of us such as flooding, air and water pollution, diseases etc; while admonishing them to use all designated legal avenues for refuse disposal.


The Head of information also affirmed that the Council boss has avowed that anyone who contravenes the legal and proper refuse disposal measures would be met with full wrath of the law, as such actions jeopardize the well-being and safety of all citizens. 




In her remark, the Head of Environmental Services Department of the LCDA, Mrs Aramide Pedro assured that all paraphernalia and efforts are readily in place to ensure compliance as the carting of refuse at Ojodu Primary School 1, 2, and 3; Ojodu High School and Oke-ira Grammar School has been effected particularly in preparation for  resumption of the new academic Calendar.
